CST 204: Queer of Color Critique

CRN 54185

This course asks what happens to queer theory when we center the experiences, politics, and aesthetics of queer subjects of color? Building on queer of color critique’s rich origins in women of color feminist theorizing, this course interrogates what it means to build theory from and of the flesh. We will also explore and debate a range of possible definitions of queerness and ask how these definitions might help us theorize questions around nations, borders, and settler-colonialism.
